Danfoss Residential Heating is looking for a Senior Product Engineer to join our Burner Components organization and take product responsibility for the oil burner nozzles portfolio. Our new Senior Product Engineer will play a key role, as the burner nozzles portfolio is a business of high importance for Burner Components. We are looking for a true specialist who can provide extensive and deep technical knowledge to help us maintain and secure our world leading position as oil nozzle manufacturer.
You will not only be the technical master, your commercial understanding is also essential to be successful in the role. Furthermore, we expect you to develop both your technical and commercial expertise continuously. You will cover all products in the oil nozzle portfolio and act as the “knowledge center”, primarily on product development of oil nozzles but also within core manufacturing processes for oil nozzle production. Furthermore, you will have engineering and product responsibility on both the brass- and steel nozzle business. This means, you will be working with product development (flow and material), application (understanding customers’ needs and application), and manufacturing (high precision machining, flow measurement principles and processing).
Applying your extensive technical knowledge, your starting point in product development will be to gain an understanding of the customers’ setup and needs and advising on the best technical solution. Next, you will validate solutions by test sample production, product testing and pilot production in close cooperation with our experienced and skilled production employees.
Background and skills
To be considered for this role, you should have a high level of technical specialist knowledge within fluid mechanics and mechanical engineering. You hold a relevant Master’s or Bachelor’s engineering degree and have at least 4-7 years of relevant professional experience in a similar role, probably within R&D. Your solid technical skills are combined with a hands-on approach and you have flair for product testing and for driving activities that involve cooperation with our experienced and skilled production employees.
