Danfoss Industrial Automation, which is part of the Danfoss Cooling Segment, is looking for a Senior Software Specialist to be part of a highly engaged cross-functional team working with sensors for harsh industrial applications.The sensor business is characterized by a high growth rate and innovative solutions. Through the increased global focus on digitalization, there is a higher need for connectivity, IoT, and Cloud solutions, and a rapidly increasing demand for sensors to deliver the needed data for optimization and added services. You will be part of a dedicated sensor development team, and have significant influence on our software development for our sensor business. 

The main focus will be development of software for pressure and temperature transmitters from concept to the final approved design.

 More specifically, your primary tasks/responsibilities are:

  • Embedded software development.

  • Responsible for the design and development of embedded software systems for temperature and pressure transmitter.

  • Responsible for all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and test of final products.

  • Develop unit tests utilizing googletest framework.

 

Background and skills:

To succeed in this role, we expect you to have at least five years of relevant experience within software development, together with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within an appropriate field.

 

Furthermore, you have experience with:

  • Embedded software and are fluent in embedded C.

  • Low-level software development for ARM based microcontrollers.

     

It is an advantage if you have some experience with:

  • The use of MatWorks tools (Matlab, Simulink, Embedded coder).

  • Auto-generated code.

     

Since we work in a global company, it is a necessity that you master English both written and spoken.

On a more personal level, you have the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team. You are able to see things in a bigger picture and are proactive when it comes to your area of responsibility.

 

You are willing to travel occasionally if needed.

The position is located in Nordborg, Denmark but Hamburg, Germany could also be an option for the right candidate.
