Reporting to the Head of Information Architecture, you will serve as Enterprise Information Architect for Maersk Technology. You will be responsible for supporting our overall Information Landscape in terms of understanding the current and envisioning the future with a specific focus on the data is an asset principle.
Your primary responsibility will be to influence the data strategy by partnering with business unit leadership, and through the rationalization of the information value chain, provide strategic recommendations to maximize the value of information assets via their creation, access and use.
•Champion data literacy awareness and establishing new communities around leveraging data as a true enterprise asset setting a clear path towards becoming a true data-driven enterprise
•Orchestrate and facilitate the development and maintenance of the Maersk Information Model to drive internal as well as external standardization
•Ensures compliance with preferred strategic data direction, setting strategies supported by relevant policies, standards and guidelines (including modelling and naming standards).
•Be a strong voice in the cross-organisational community that cares for the continued evolution of Maersk’s information model.
•Coach, mentor and collaborate with peers, solution architects, development teams and project teams to ensure an information architecture that supports Maersk’s Business vision.
•Fostering great relationships without direct authority across functional boundaries and geographies.
•Elicitation of requirements from subject matter experts to rationalize them against the Maersk Information Model
•Analysing, gaining an understanding and providing insight in the information needs and relation of the information usage across the enterprise
•Present architectural concepts and data models to business users and IT stakeholders in an easily understandable format
•Architectural leadership in the resolutions of inter-program and inter-project issues, specifically in relation to information usage and data structures
•Keeping already created and published artefacts up to date
•Minimum 7 years of experience
•Must have worked within globally distributed matrix organisation; Business domain, data/content and process understanding
•The ability to influence at senior management level and collaborate across organisational boundaries in a federated model
•Proven ability to make pragmatic short-term decisions whilst aligning with a long-term strategic outcome
•A transformational mindset using an approach of persuasion and encouragement that embeds sustainable capabilities. Being proactive and ambitious
•Extensive knowledge in modelling languages like ArchiMate, BPMN, UML
•Data modelling and information classification expertise at the enterprise level
•Graphical representations and abstraction
•Understanding of common information architecture frameworks and information models
•Understanding of metamodels, taxonomies and ontologies, as well as of the challenges of applying structured techniques (data modelling) to less-structured sources
•Familiarity with data science concepts, as well as MDM, business intelligence, and data warehouse design and implementation techniques
•Strong communication and persuasion skills, including the ability to create marketing and messaging materials that meet stakeholder needs
•Ability to analyse project, program and portfolio needs, as well as determine the resources needed to achieve objectives and overcome cross-functional barriers
•Being able to explain complex issues to inexperienced people;
•Experience with enterprise architecture best practices and goals
•Experience in different development paradigms (Agile, Lean Product Development, Waterfall) and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
•Been part of multi-cultural, international environment with distributed teams
•Fluent in the English language, both verbal and in writing
In addition to above the suitable candidate ideally has:
•Experience in the marine industry
•Familiarity with Supply Chain/Logistics management
