Key Responsibilities

• The Ocean team develops products and sets the strategy and price to ensure that our vessels are full and are carrying the most profitable cargo.
• You will be part of Ocean FP&A team, supporting the business in the decision-making process by providing financial management information, deep dive analysis, performance management reporting and financial planning. Your focus is to understand stakeholders’ business needs and to design and develop existing and new reports with clear business insights.
• You will be responsible for Ocean/MLB reporting production and development, ensure an effective weekly/monthly/quarterly operating system
• You are expected to drive accurate, timely and aligned reporting of financial and commercial performance incl. KPIs
• You will be expected to provide various standard and ad-hoc analysis to provide specific insights to the business based on needs.
• You will also front-end the Weekly forecast process from HQ - with support of the Global Service Centres ensure the Weekly NOPAT projections are delivered on time along with regular improvements to the process. This will involve coordination and dialogue with counterparts across Business Finance Commercial and Operations.
• Through close interaction with the Ocean team and Trade FBPs, you will assist to prepare material for quarterly review and perform deep dive analysis of performance and trends. You are expected to drive proper discussion and influence appropriate actions to ensure financial results and objectives are maximized.

Who we are looking for

• You hold a Master’s degree in finance or economics (Cand.Merc, Cand.Polit, Cand.Oecon if from Denmark, or equivalent) with academic results in the top end of your peer group.
• You have two to five years of work experience from analytical positions within finance, management reporting, financial planning and analysis, management and/or strategy consultancy, business development or equivalent.
• You have a thorough understanding of finance and a sincere interest in understanding the business to drive performance and value.
• You are result driven and have a strong logical and analytical capacity being well organized with high attention to detail.
• You are a self-starter with a strong driving force, striving for continuous improvement and wanting to solve problems even if finding answers are not easy.
• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong integrity and a humble personality that goes well with people at all levels in a global organization.
• You are used to and enjoy working in a challenging, fast paced and changing environment dealing with a lot of different tasks at the same time.
• You are skilled in Excel and PowerPoint, while experience in BI systems, SAP, OneStream, Hyperion is a plus.
• The corporate language is English, so you should be fluent in oral as well as written English.
• We expect you to have an analytic mind-set as well as a holistic perspective; you can zoom in on the relevant details while never losing sight of the big picture. You have a unique ability to address complex and large amount of data and digest them into understandable and presentable overviews to enable informed business decisions.
• Finally, you should have a 'self-starter attitude' and be able to see opportunities and invite yourself to the table. You are an extroverted team player with strong communication skills, enabling you to engage and influence multiple stakeholders.
