Become an essential part of our Supply Chain, as we strive to build our “Future factory” in Gråsten, DenmarkCan you drive change processes and implement best practice tools to optimize the supply chain?And do you have what it takes to ensure significant annual improvements in a global supply chain environment, which has already worked intensively with Lean for years? If yes, then you might be our new Continuous Improvement Expert (CIE) in Danfoss Drives Segment (DDS), who will be part of our professional team in Operations, and of the Operation Gråsten management. The "Future factory" is about defining, analyzing and implementing what is needed for moving our highly effective and reliable production and supply chain to the next level within safety, quality, delivery, automation and digitalization. But also, to ensure the quick-wins needed to reach our goals now, and in near future.Drive improvements across a production environmentAs CIE your primary responsibility is to challenge and support the factory/value stream management and help drive a high-performance culture of continuous improvement. You will be located at our Gråsten site, but if your competencies and a specific task elsewhere in DDS is a perfect match, you must show willingness to travel. Gråsten is the largest site in Danfoss Drives, with around 200 employees in the production.Specifically, you get to work with production and production lines in respect to the DPP (Danfoss Productivity Program) tools and systems. The DPP tools are designed and maintained by Danfoss Business Systems, which is a project-oriented organization with a strong focus on productivity and continuous improvement, and implementation of best practices in the supply chain to achieve business goals.

Your main tasks will be to:

  • Ensure implementation of manufacturing and quality-related tools and processes in our factory and ensure that the defined tools are used, and that the processes are followed.
  • Quantify new activities and align objectives.
  • Support global activities (in connection with the implementation and continuous improvement).
  • Conduct educational and practical training in quality and productivity improvement tools.
  • Assist in / complete production, quality and system audits.
  • Implement and share best practices across factories.

High professionalism, project management skills and production knowledge

There is more than one way into this position. Ideally you have relevant educational background as M.Sc. or B.Sc. in technology or similar, and you have Project Management skills or relevant experience from a production environment working with mechanical-, production- or automation technology. Your experience has given you excellent knowledge in the use of Lean and Six Sigma.Other key competencies in this role include:

  • Good mathematical and statistical skills incl MS Excel.
  • Strong team player and self-steering mindset.
  • Strong communication and social skills.
  • Strong Danish and English language skills.

It is essential that you have experience within operating and managing improvement projects focused on services in quality, delivery and cost management in production environment.
