You will play an important role in the development of new standards to ensure LINCO’s continued position as one of the world’s leading manufacturers of equipment for the poultry processing industries. This is a unique opportunity for you to become part of a professional organisation and to be working closely with our skilled Business Process and Area Control team in an informal and positive atmosphere. Your workplace will be at our headquarters in Trige in Denmark and you can expect up to 15 traveling days per year.
The link between the customers’ IT systems and our PLC
You will report to the Manager of Business Process and Area Control, and you will be working with the newest platform within automation. You will be the link between the customers’ IT systems and our PLC, focusing on among other things tracking, production line and receipt management. In cooperation with the team, you will develop and document software using open standard for us to switch from project programming to project configuration of systems. This exciting position offers you the opportunity to be responsible for developing and implementing high-quality software and being involved in the entire process from requirement specification through design and implementation to final testing and documentation. Your daily tasks will further consist of:
- Creating technical roadmaps and design documentation that enable development and maintenance of automation templates
- Contributing to standardisation of our products
- Focusing on intelligent and auto-configuration systems
- Performing tests in Trige and at our test facility in England
Software developer experienced in plant and machinery
You have a background as an engineer, information technologist, systems architect or similar, and you have solid experience from similar positions where you have worked with standardisation of control systems software and hardware for plant and machinery.
In addition, you have the following experience and qualifications:
- The ISA88 standard
- Defining internal data communication interfaces and interfaces towards external systems
- Using UML tools and being familiar with high-level programming in the design and implementation phases
Knowing the following will also be an advantage:
- Programming languages such as: .NET, C#, C++ and Java
- XML and JSON
- Cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
- IOT and the use of mobile units
- PLC programming and high-level programming languages, preferably Beckhoff
