LM Wind Power is growing, and we have an ambitious strategy to improve blade manufacturing. This position as Senior Manager is pivotal to our work implementing automation and robotics, and it covers development of equipment,  design of tools for large composite structures, modularization and standardization as well as operational, documentation, maintenance and support tasks.  
Right now, the department hosts around 40 employees, and we are expecting a substantial growth in the years to come. You will head a team of 10-12 highly skilled specialists, solution architects, design engineers and support functions in Denmark and India as well as consultants.  You will be based in Lunderskov, Denmark. 
You will implement and execute an ambitious strategy 
The Senior Manager reports to Director of Global Equipment Engineering, and your stakeholders will be a wide range of people across functions and regions from relevant LM/GE departments and from external partners, suppliers and research institutes. The role holds several focus areas as industrialization, automation, robotics, innovation, cost effectiveness, health & safety, quality and integrity, and as we maneuver in a rapidly developing environment, you need to be able to use change management as an integrated part of your leadership. Your key responsibilities include: 
  • Actively supporting the industrialization management team to develop and execute ambitious strategies for LM plants, production and transport technologies. 
  • Establishment of technology and solutions roadmaps for Automation, Robotics, Advanced Manufacturing solutions and Manufacturing equipment, in coordination with stakeholders across Sales, Engineering and Operations.   
  • Developing processes and systems to support the business deliveries and lead deliveries through execution of projects and business goals through KPI’s, operational and strategical plans.  
  • Documentation of solutions and screening for patents and commercial rights. 
  • Daily management of your own team at the tactical and operational levels.

Excellent communicator with both commercial and technical skills 
You have a degree in engineering or similar with proven technical and commercial experience within Automation, Robotics, Large equipment design and manufacturing solutions, Advance Manufacturing or Composites. Experience in blade manufacturing, large-scale complex structures design, automated and robotic solutions for blades is desired. You need several years’ experience in leading organizations in the areas of design, engineering or manufacturing of mechanical and process solutions with a high degree of complexity, and you have proven experience as a leader boosting high performance and motivation by creating ownership in challenging environments.                     
To succeed in this job, you will need strong understanding of customer needs, marketplace dynamics and industry trends, and you must thrive on juggling priorities and navigating in the field of ambiguity and multiple stakeholders to deliver results. You bring international experience and cultural awareness covering Europe, India or other similar, and you have an understanding of environmental, international and local requirements, policies and regulations established internally as well as state and local laws. Finally, you master English at negotiation level, have diplomatic skills and are able to communicate to a diverse audience at all levels of the organization.
