LM Wind Power is growing and so is the demand for new blade types. Therefore, we are now looking for a senior engineer with a quality mindset to be responsible for leading the capex qualification and supplier development activities. You will be part of the SQC team, consisting of 8 highly motivated colleagues driving the qualifications of raw materials and components as well as the supplier improvement processes. The SQC team is part of the global Quality team, and you will work in close cooperation with the Capex team in Industrialization. You will be based in our Technology Center in Lunderskov, Denmark, and your travel activity will cover 30% of your time, mostly in Asia.
You bring our suppliers up to speed and ensure the quality required
Supplier agreements, audits, business reviews with suppliers and on-site support for suppliers are a natural and important part of the team responsibility. You will be working in close cooperation with one of your colleagues, and you will be responsible for managing qualifications, continuous improvement of tools and processes to manage supplier quality capex. You will work within the following areas:
- Leading and managing audits and development within supplier quality capex, such as performing supplier assessment
- Developing and training new and existing suppliers to meet the needed and wanted standards
- Negotiating and signing supplier quality agreements, performing on-site FAI (First Article Inspection) and participating in factory acceptance test in co-operation with global sourcing
- Assisting suppliers with non-conformity related to capex
- Setting standards for and assisting on claim handling
- Continuously developing and improving of our capex supplier quality system
You will cover a wide aspect from setting up new systems to executing on large projects, and it is therefore essential that you understand project management tools. You should also have the courage to challenge the status quo and think out of the box regarding procedures and practices.

Communicator with analytic skills and senior experience in supplier handling
We expect that you have a background as Bachelor or Masters within mechanical, manufacturing, metallurgy or material. You have substantial working experience within equipment manufacturing, including significant experience in supplier quality and development, and you have hands-on experience with the quality system processes. You are a certified lead auditor within 9001 and might have a project management certification. You have knowledge of manufacturing, such as fabrications, machining, coating and welding, electrical equipment, raw material processes, NDT testing, metal structures, machines and equipment.
As a person, you need a strong backbone to ensure understanding and implementation of your demands towards the suppliers. You have both analytical and numerical skills and the ability to both gain the overview and focus on details. You take responsibility to drive the solution of complex problems, and you communicate in a clear and diverse way, embracing people in different cultures and situations. You offer your support and contribute to your team, and finally you are fluent in oral and written English.
