Can you ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and performance through the implementation and application of an efficient and effective quality management system (QMS) across the scope of a business? Then you might be the Quality Manager, we are looking for in Danfoss Power Solutions. Danfoss Power Solutions is a world-class supplier of mobile hydraulics and you become part of our Connect & Controls Solution business that develops and manufactures joysticks, controllers, displays and sensors in Denmark and the United States. With our high-quality electrohydraulic components, we create innovative solutions, and we work with high complexity and many different unique products of absolute world class. Furthermore, Danfoss Power Solutions offers the opportunity for both professional and personal development. You will be manager for a team in Nordborg of 4 employees. The position is located in Nordborg, Denmark, and you will report to the Operations Director. Achieving the targets set for customer quality related KPIs, metrics and measuresAs our new Quality Manager, you are the management representative in relation to the local QMS and leader for the management review process with the local management team. You are responsible for driving the continuous improvement process related to quality.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be to:

  • Ensure quality targets are deployed and understood by the organization, and that R&Rs are defined to drive continuous improvements on system, processes and products
  • Ensure that customer and KPI driven quality plans are developed for all QMS processes in order to meet the quality targets of the organization
  • Ensure that the quality plans within own area of responsibility are executed, and monitor the execution of the overall quality plan within the organization
  • Report a weekly status of NCs for the local management team
  • Ensure immediate escalation of significant quality issues to the Operations Leader and respective Quality Director 
  • Ensure that quality nonconformities are handled effectively by the organization via 8D
  • Ensure that the competencies of the employees in the local organization are in place to enable effective and efficient execution of the QMS processes
  • Follow the Danfoss recommended processes for employee performance and development 

Structured leader with focus on total quality and continuous improvements

You have a technical background (Bachelor’s Degree) with previous quality management experience in an IATF/TS 16949 driven manufacturing environment. You are familiar with quality tools such as root cause problem solving (8D) and you have a Six Sigma Black belt. You are also a certified lead auditor. On a more personal note you are driven and persistent. You are also a good communicator with advanced interpersonal skills, who maintains cooperative and productive working relationships with all employees. You can motivate others by leadership and coaching to secure development.
