Are you a passionate lawyer/legal counsel with experience in M&A who enjoys the fast pace in M&A but at a point in your life where you would like to combine this passion with more time off? Then this is the job for you!   

We are experiencing strong growth in Chr. Hansen and for our Global  Legal department in Hørsholm we are now looking for a part-time lawyer/legal counsel with experience in M&A to support our Corporate Strategy & Business Development department in a dynamic part time position.     

M&A and legal business partner 

Your primary responsibility will be to act as a legal business partner to our Corporate Strategy and Business Development department acting as a sparring partner to the business and a mediator between this and external stakeholders. You can look forward to a very dynamic role, shifting between normal working hours and periods with a much higher pace (e.g. during projects). Some of the tasks in the role will be to;   

  • Drive and perform M&A legal support as well as legal support to other strategic projects initiated by Corporate Strategy & Business Development  
  • Communicate and manage outside legal counsel for such projects 
  • Ensure close cooperation and communication with other CH functions 
  • Provide guidance and training to the organization with respect to M&A  

In this role you will be interacting across the broad Chr. Hansen organization, cooperating with internal and external stakeholders in Denmark, but also globally. You will be based at the Danish headquarters in Hørsholm, Greater Copenhagen and report to the Head of Corporate Legal and EMEA.    

Legal background and strong M&A acumen  

You hold a Master Degree in Law and you have at least 5 years of multi-disciplinary law experience as an external lawyer or in-house legal counsel. This is backed by experience in working with M&A and additionally experience in working with tendering is a plus.    As part of a high paced growth environment you will need a solid professional foundation as well as strong business acumen. Furthermore, you must thrive in a dynamic setup and you need to be energetic, highly autonomous and passionate about working interdisciplinary with law and with many different stakeholders – internal and external. This also requires very good communication skills in English, written and spoken

Global Legal Affairs is part of the broader Compliance function, which includes Global Regulatory & External Affairs, Quality Assurance, IPR & Licensing and the Corporate Secretariat. We offer 

Part-time role – 18½ hours per week in average but during M&A and Special Projects working hours may vary and span. Travelling should be expected – 10-30 travelling days per year in average.
