Royal Copenhagen, owned by Fiskars Group, is looking for a skilled and experienced designer who will have a key role in developing new products within Royal Copenhagen’s product portfolio. You will report to the Head of New Product Development (NPD) and together with the other designers and the NPD team, your task will be to develop new products for launches within the road map. You will be responsible for the whole development process including project management of your own design projects, which means that apart from generating ideas, sketching and outlining in SolidWorks, spending most of your time on product development and it is a key to deliver to set deadlines. This involves detailing, forming and commenting samples as well as problem solving in corporation for production. Furthermore, you will have ad hoc tasks related to the design department i.e. graphic work using Adobe tools and meetings on different organisational levels.
Teamwork plays a big part in this job. You will work closely with your colleagues in the NPD team including the Creative Director to achieve the highest standards within technical detailing and quality of the result towards the markets and the consumer. You will also work across departments such as Product Management, the Model Shop in Denmark and Royal Copenhagen’s own production team in Thailand. You will work from Royal Copenhagen’s head office in Glostrup and should expect to travel 2 - 4 times yearly.
Industrial or product designer with product development experience
To perform in the job, we expect you to have completed a design education within product or industrial design as well as some years experience from a similar position, where you have worked with both design and product development. The job requires that you are an advanced user of SolidWorks and Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and that you are motivated by working with all the steps of the development process and product maturing. It is an advantage if you have experience working with porcelain and the Stage-Gate model.

Danish is not required for this position, but we expect fluency in English.
