TORM is presently looking for an ambitious and dedicated Corporate Finance Manager who will be responsible for TORM’s long-term financial planning including various corporate finance tasks and projects.

The Corporate Finance & Strategy team is responsible for larger financial and strategic projects, including long-term financial forecasting, equity market transactions and investment analysis across the TORM Group. The team provides strategic and financial sparring to TORM’s Board of Directors and management teams to secure ongoing focus on TORM’s strategic and financial position as well as assessing the financial effects of commercial decisions. Depending on the individual project, the team also leads or participates in larger financial and capital structure projects, such as different M&A cases and capital market transactions.
As our new colleague, you will report to the Head of Corporate Finance& Strategy. The department is a part of the Finance Division and you will be based in TORM's office in Hellerup.
Your main responsibility will cover TORM’s long-term financial planning, including the responsibility for maintaining and further development of TORM’s long-term financial model. This also covers analysis for the Board of Directors and management in connection with selected strategic scenarios. The model is also used on a monthly basis as part of the management reporting to the Board of Directors covering short- to medium-term financial forecasts.
Other specific responsibilities will depend on your qualifications, but could include:
- Capital Market transactions
- Impairment tests
- Merger & Acquisition activities
- Investment recommendations to the Board of Directors and management on vessel sales and purchase activities
- Financial ad hoc support to the management
- Project management/participation on other financial and strategic projects
Most of the work will be project related and overtime may be expected during peak periods. Through the position, you will gain significant insight into TORM’s financial and strategic situation, which on a longer horizon could be used as a step towards another position within TORM, should the right opportunity arise. There will also be room for increased responsibility within the position depending on the performance and experience.
We are looking for an ambitious person, with relevant work experience from a Corporate Finance function such as investment banking, in-house corporate finance department or similar.
Furthermore, you have/are:
- Relevant theoretical background on a master level, such as M.Sc. in Business Administration
- An analytical mindset and ability to present analysis and solutions to complex problems in a short and precise manner
- A strong drive with focus on quality to meet customer expectations
- A detail-oriented mindset
- Fluent in both spoken and written English
- A strong user of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
- Experience from the shipping industry will be beneficial
