We Offer

The position will be based in the Maersk Drilling headquarters in Lyngby and you will be part of our Operations department supporting one of our drilling rigs operating in the North Sea region.

The Rig Supply Chain Manager (RSCM) coordinates the supply chain activities for the assigned rig including but not limited to supply planning and execution, logistics, contract management, supplier relationship management, cost management, and operational readiness. The RSCM also manages purchases jointly with our Global Supply Chain Operations Center in Manila and provides feedback to assist in education and personal development of the dedicated buyer in Manila. He/she ensures timely delivery of equipment, spare parts, and supplies in the correct quantity, with the correct quality, at prices which reduce the total cost of ownership.

You will be given responsibilities right from the start as we promote a steep learning curve. The role will report into the Head of Supply Chain for the North Sea sector.

Key Responsibilities

As a Rig Supply Chain Manager you will manage and be accountable for the rig’s supply chain, with a main focus on improved logistics processes and cost optimization.

It will be your responsibility to oversee and support the purchasing activities to ensure optimized delivery to our rig teams. You will be the main driver of various initiatives to improve the supply chain and logistics activities with regards to the rig management team, be responsible for developing your account and ensuring procurement involvement in all bigger purchases, and plan ahead with the drilling teams to ensure an efficient and cost optimized supply chain.
Furthermore, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

•Daily spot checks of IFS and monitoring procurement process from Authorized Purchase Requisition to Acknowledgement of Posting Proposal

•Follow up on Hire, Repairs, and Services orders

•Provide assistance to Buyers and take over any Express orders

•Facilitate planned Procurement and Logistics meetings to address challenges, clarify processes, and minimize processing time

•Support contract management team with new contracts, extensions, reviews, termination, and feedback

•Engage with rig team when preparing for stacking, site move, and contract startups in terms of logistics, risk, and opportunities

Who we are looking for

The preferred candidate has a formal education on minimum bachelor level or equivalent within relevant field and/or minimum 2 years of relevant job experience.
Furthermore, we expect that you:

•Have collaborative skills as you will work closely with the logistics team and rig team and other stakeholders internal and external

•Are a self-starter with a strong drive and initiative

•Enjoy working in an challenging and dynamic environment which can be a bit hectic at times

•Are dynamic, ambitious, detail oriented and committed to deliver high quality. You work in a structured and systematic manner

•Thrive on assuming responsibility and achieving results independently and as part of a team

•Computer skills with knowledge of MS Office programs and IFS are an asset
