As part of the Maersk Group, Seago Line is serving the European and North African containerised market.

The Revenue Optimisation function is involved in Seago Line's key commercial drivers. Your industry understanding will be strengthened and developed given the broad range of tasks you will experience in this role. In the Revenue Optimisation function, you will interact with Market Managers, Finance, Shared service centers and Cluster
stakeholders.

You will play an active role in the development of and decision making enabling the Trades to deliver top line improvements. You will gain a unique insight into the Seago Line business, gain exposure, and build relationships creating a unique platform for future jobs within the industry. You will be joining a fast-paced team and network environment with very experienced colleagues who have ambition to make a difference.

Seago Line is founded with the aim to enhance regional market focus. The company is a stand-alone legal entity and operates as a fully independent business unit.

Key Responsibilities

Your overall focus will be to optimize the top line and drive market mapping in Seago Line. You will work closely together with our Head of Revenue Management and share responsibility for managing internal and external data sources leading to sufficient pipeline of cargo with the ultimate goal of securing profitable growth of Seago Line’s business.

As Revenue Optimisation manager, your responsibilities will include, among other things, the following tasks:

Individual:
You will lead market mapping process in Seago line. You will be challenged to gather and analyze a vast amount of data to make decisions in a very short timeframe, and make quantitative follow up on the results.

You will propose Seago Line’s special cargo strategy in close coordination with Market Managers and be accountable for the bottom line result of this segment.

Moreover, you will assist Market Managers in managing internal slot agreements and routing settings.

Shared:
Continuous development and optimisation of market and pricing processes, models, frameworks and tools.

Who we are looking for

We require fluency in oral and written English.
You may have a background from the A.P. Moller - Maersk Group or other shipping lines. Or, you may hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree either within shipping, marketing, economics or logistics. We would value your experience with the following:

  • Analysis and data driven decision making

 

  • Ability to make the complex simple at the time of execution

 

  • Ability to work across levels and geographies

 

  • Teamwork-oriented and able to work with a virtual team


Your analytical skills are second to none, and your mind is set on the ultimate goal - profitability. This combination is necessary in order to understand and manage loads of – even sometimes opposing - information from the surrounding organization. You love to delve into the data, and you know how to determine what is of most importance. You don’t get lost in the detail – but can use the data to get an overview, come to a quick decision and make valuable
recommendations.

Finally, you are energetic and hard-working and excellent at building relations and influencing your key stakeholders.
