The department Wine & Fermented Beverages is looking for at Laboratory Technician with microbiology experience. We are a small and dynamic team that is part for Chr. Hansen's Global Application responsible for research, development and application activities in our Food Cultures & Enzymes Division.    Are you a Laboratory Technician with an interest in microbiology, wine and / or brewing? Then this unique opportunity could be for you.     The Wine & Fermented Beverages department develops microbial solutions mainly for the worldwide wine industry and supports customers in the implementation of our solutions. We work in a dynamic and positive atmosphere in modern office and laboratory facilities and in our well-equipped pilot winery, all located in Hørsholm.    We are looking for a Technician who can independently plan experimental work and perform laboratory task with a keen eye for quality and high standards. Furthermore, you will assist in maintaining and operating the application / fermentation centre where we produce wine and fermented beverages on small scale. You will report your results in a professional manner to our Application Scientists as well as document it in our electronic lab book system (ELN). You will be both working on new product development projects as well as technical sales support tasks from our global sales team.     Your tasks  
  • Monitoring fermentations biochemically as well as microbially  
  • Small scale wine/ beverage fermentations, including chemical analysis using the WineScan and OenoFoss (FOSS) 
  • Enzymatic analysis 
  • Production of wine / beverages in our in-house pilot winery (50-100 L scale) 
  • Everyday maintenance of the laboratory and equipment 
  • Work closely together with our Application Scientist 
  • Assist in HACCP and Quality related tasks 
  • Report laboratory activities in ELN  
  Your personal profile 
  • You have an educational background as Laboratory Technician, preferably in the wine, brewing or other similar food or beverage industries 
  • You are dynamic, flexible, structured, take initiative and with high quality standards 
  • You are experienced when it comes to microbiological analyses in fermented beverages and/or other food industries 
  • You master English written and spoken, and preferably also Danish
