The Manning Office Scandinavia, is a team of seven people, including you.
We work across two Business Units, for which we offer HR and operations services for our Scandinavian and Dutch seafarers.
We also provide some documentation and welfare services for our non-Scandinavian seafarers on board our Danish-flagged vessels.

As Crew HR Coordinator you will be working within a team of Crew HR Coordinators, responsible for Administrative and Marine HR functions for Scandinavian seafarers sailing in the Maersk Line and Maersk Tanker fleets.
You will be ensuring seafarers embark BU vessels in compliance with STCW 2010, MLC-2006 and national/international regulations in accordance with the Pre-Embarkation Checklist process, which includes follow up on outstanding documentation
Other important tasks will include:
Providing operational support for visas and other travel documentation and Flag State Endorsement Applications
Marine HR administrative support services related to employment, training, performance management, retention, welfare and documentation
Ensuring regular updates on global systems to maintain data quality for seafarers under responsibility
Assist with arranging office visits and family sailing
Assume an active role in transforming the Manning Office Scandinavia from an autonomous entity into a globally aligned team.
The ideal candidate has crewing industry experience and/or knowledge of the international maritime industry.
You have knowledge of and experience with general HR and administrative processes combined with a strong interest in improving the lives of our seafarers.

You work with a sense of urgency, with good attention to detail and you are process orientated.
Furthermore you must be a resilient team player who is goal-orientated and demonstrates a high level of commitment with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
You are a strong communicator with excellent Written and Verbal skills with people at all levels across the organization in English – Danish is not a requirement but preferable.
You possess the ability to have difficult conversations with others and you are easily adaptable and enjoys working with multiple conflicting priorities.
Approximately one week per month, you will be responsible for the after hours duty phone, which includes Next of Kin communication in the event of emergencies, so this role requires an extremely responsible person who act well under pressure.
