As a Tender Superintendent, you will be part of a new integrated bidding team consisting of two Tender Superintendents and two Commercial Bid Specialists. Successful bidding is crucial to Maersk Drilling's business and you will be a central part of cross functional bidding projects. As a person with an operational background this is an opportunity to work within the commercial function and apply that knowledge directly to the commercial decision making process.

In addition to giving input to ongoing bids a core part of the role will be to re-consider the way we bid and design systems, processes and databases that drive greater efficiency, quality and consistency in what we do and how we sell our services.

The work location for this position is residential in Lyngby, Denmark and some travel should be expected.

Key Responsibilities

As our new Tender Superintendent you will:

• Review tenders and create rig specific input for submission of tenders to clients from an operational perspective

• Take part in cross functional tender review meetings

• Be the focal point across Asset Teams on operational matters and input related to the tenders

• Ensure alignment on tender input across/within Asset Teams as well as with other parts of the organization e.g. Technical Organization, rig teams etc.

• Design new ways of working to improve efficiency, quality and consistency in the way we provide tender input

• Ensure timely and high quality replies to clients on operational and technical queries in the tender process

Who we are looking for

A proactive candidate who enjoys working in a challenging environment with stakeholders from multiple departments and functions.

You have solid insight in the offshore drilling industry – either from an onshore position or offshore.

We expect you to have detailed drilling knowledge from a previous offshore position or you a background as Driller trainee or Rig Manager Trainee.

It is crucial that you have a strong attention to details and have a structured approach towards your tasks. Microsoft Office super user skills are an advantage.

As you will manage different stakeholders, excellent cross functional collaboration skills are required.

Last but not least, you are interested in interacting in the commercial department environment by increasing knowledge and awareness of operational aspects in the commercial department and learning about the commercial aspects of the drilling business.
