The integrated transport and logistics division in A.P. Moller - Maersk has begun an exciting growth journey, a path that is built on three pillars: organic growth, acquisitive growth and growth through digital.
In order to bring further firepower to our organic growth agenda a dedicated department, Growth Initiatives, has been established with direct reporting to our CEO.
The scope of Growth Initiatives is to, over the coming years, develop new "physical" businesses adjacent to our current offerings in transportation, logistics and ports.
Additionally, Growth Initiatives will be a home and incubator for new ideas to adjacent services that develop in the global Transport & Logistics organization.
Focus will be on developing a catalogue of ideas – originating from within and outside the company – for new services that fit within our strategic framework.
To accelerate this, we are in Growth Initiatives currently building a strong team of experienced Venture Partners, Business Development Leads as well as analysts who together will lay the foundation for and accelerate this exciting growth journey by applying innovative approaches and using their business development capabilities.
Generation of business leads both from internal and external sources
Lead development through incubation and proof of concept stages in collaboration with and supported by the venture analyst team
Accountable for business development realized either as adjacent services to Transport & Logistics or as independent businesses
Work planning and coordination of stand-alone projects
Creation of business cases and requests for funding after incubation/proof of concept stages.
As ideal candidate, you have experience in developing and driving innovation and business ventures. This can be rooted both in personal experience with start-ups or from a consultancy background supporting organizations in their innovation and venture journeys. If you have experience with Supply Chain Management or/and Supply Chain development it would be advantage.
You have minimum 6-8 years of experience work working with investments, private venture partnerships and/or business consulting. You preferably also hold a relevant Master's degree.
As an individual you have a strong will to create results and thrive in a fast paced environment where success is in large part dependent on your personal drive and commitment. You understand and appreciate the impact and importance of excellent stakeholder management and can independently structure your work and critical activities for business development you are engaged in. You are comfortable working with data and analytics a have a large appetite for the creation of opportunities in unexplored areas.
You are a resilient team player who is goal-orientated and demonstrates a high level of commitment and thrive in an international environment. You want to challenge and develop yourself.
