An exciting global marketing position responsible for leading marketing programs, planning and activating global campaigns.

An opportunity to join an ambitious international Maersk Line Global Marketing team in the corporate head office in Copenhagen, reporting to the Head of Marketing Activation

Working closely with senior and global stakeholders, marketers in local cluster organizations around the world, our in-house and external agencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Accountable for the success and impact of global marketing programs and campaign activation essentially to create preference and business demand where we target to win or increase profitable business

• Create a thorough understanding of the brand positioning and value proposition for our brands, their target customers, their needs and wants, triggers and critical touch points along the customer journey

• Develop and anchor the marketing plan and calendar together with the other Marketing managers in line with the business, brand and marketing objectives and priorities

• Plan global campaigns and marketing activities working closely with key stakeholders across the organization and the wider business, ensuring alignment on and ownership of objectives and defined outcomes

• Creating impactful messaging validated by customer insights, segmenting and targeting campaign audiences, defining and integrating marketing and communication channels and tactics to deliver most impact

• Defining clear briefs and working with the in-house agency and as well our global digital and media agencies driving creativity, ensuring campaign readiness for global and local market activation

• Leading the activation of global campaigns, marketing programs and activities across owned, earned and paid channels mostly digital, through partnerships and working closely with in- and external communications

• Providing guidance to local markets activating global campaigns, as well as counsel and support locally led initiatives to ensure brand consistency, sharing of best practice globally

• Establishing clear objectives and targets, tracking and analysing performance, reporting return-on-objectives and for paid invest return-on-investment, driving continuous optimisation of campaigns

• Driving innovation and digitization in our marketing, supporting marketing competence development across the organisation

• Working closely and collaboratively with the other Marketing Managers, for mutual success.

Who we are looking for

• Strong understanding and successful track record in global marketing management and campaign activation role knowing what is needed to build and create long-term brand impact and commercial success
• Drive and energy as an outstanding individual performer, while being collaborative and a team player
• Proven strength in stakeholder management in complex organisations, ability to build sustainable relationships and partnerships, inspire followership, lead and manage laterally and through others
• Comfortable with and able to drive change in matrix-based organization
• Strong strategic, conceptual and planning skills, while equally being hands-on with a “can do” attitude
• Passionate about global trade and ambitious on behalf of the customers and driven to create customer value and impact
• Ambitious, goal and results-focused to see complex projects and programs through to implementation and success, being accountable for results, taking learnings and striving for continuous improvement and innovation
• Able to manage complexity, plan and manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time, staying calm and focused
• Proven up-to-date digital marketing competence in web/mobile, SEO, PPC, social media, e-mail marketing, analytics, and ideally experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Sitecore CMS

• Minimum of 8 years as (senior) marketing or campaign activation manager in global or regional role
• In a global or multi-national company and brand -preferably but not necessarily in business-to-business
• With specialist expertise and experience from successful global marketing programs, campaigns and activation
• Experienced in successfully managing agencies and activation budgets
