Reporting to the Head of Data Management you will be interacting with multiple stakeholders within Maersk Line.
Establish common definitions, in co-operation with data owners and obtain agreement on expected data standards.
Define how to monitor and analyse the quality of our data against agreed standards. You will also identify and document potential root causes for poor data quality such as suboptimal business processes, IT system issues or missing process compliance and then to facilitate that necessary action plans are executed to address identified root causes.
As a Business Consultant you will play an active role in developing a data governance operating model as a foundation for data stewardship and data management activities.
Build an understanding of the data in assigned subject areas to the level where you can be a recognized authority across the organization
Work with peers across Business Finance and Advanced Analytics teams as well as other relevant parts of Maersk Line, acting as a sparring partner to guide them in using the right data for the given situation and helping them understand how current data quality will have an impact on their analysis.
The ideal candidate has a relevant Master degree and a minimum of 3-5 years experience within Business Intelligence or Data Management and Governance from a Consulting or a global organization. Shipping/Logistics company experience is a plus but not mandatory.
Skilled in Excel and SQL while experience with Teradata and Informatica MDM and Data Quality Tools is a plus.
A self-starter with a strong driving force, striving for continuous improvement and wanting to solve problems even if finding answers are not easy.
Result driven and have a strong logical and analytical capacity being well organised with high attention to detail.
You have a thorough understanding of Data Management and/or Data Governance Concepts and a sincere interest in working with and supporting the business in driving performance and value from a clear and transparent data landscape.
An extroverted team player who are used to and enjoy working independently with ability to engage with and influence, guide and challenge multiple senior stakeholders.
Used to and enjoy working in a challenging, fast paced and changing environment dealing with a lot of different tasks at the same time.
