The Strategy & Partnering section in Maersk Drilling is looking for a high-caliber student assistant. The key responsibilities of the student assistant position will be to provide support within the following areas:
•Industry and market research covering the global offshore drilling industry and related industries in the oil and gas space
•Forecast market trends in support of the strategy review, commercial review and target setting, and capital allocation process
•Support the market and commercial intelligence efforts
•Assist with streamlining the update process for the reports
•Create Market, Strategy and Investor presentations
•Cross-departmental support and other ad hoc tasks
As our new student assistant, you hold the following characteristics:
•You are in your last year of Bachelor studies at a university or business school, are in the top 10% of your class, and will immediately pursue a Masters
•You have just begun your Masters studies at a university or business school and are in the top 10% of your class
•Currently studying Economics or Finance (such as Economics (polit.)), Applied Economics and Finance, Finance & Strategy, Finance & Accounting, or International Business
•Fluent in English, both in writing and speaking
•Confident, strong communication skills, with the ability to develop and defend a viewpoint
•Excellent analytical skills and data-driven
•Structured and detail oriented
•Super-user of Excel and PowerPoint with a flair for making presentations
•Strong sense of ownership and pride in work product
•Ability to work independently, developing analysis and presentations based on limited guidance
•Committed and hard-working with the possibility of flexible, sometimes unpredictable working hours
