Strategy and Business Transformation Consultant in the Ramboll Group

Your responsibilities as a Strategy and Business Transformation Consultant

You will be an integral part of a small, dedicated and professional team with plenty of opportunities for team work, open and collaborative problem solving, as well as more independent tasks. You will be fully responsible for driving standalone work streams with analysis, insight generation, project management, communication and support on various levels (strategic, operational, financial, etc.). You will prepare reports, presentations and provide general support to help drive the implementation of strategic projects and programs run by the Group Strategy & Corporate Development (GSCD) team in Ramboll. As the team is working in close collaboration with Ramboll’s executive management, you will:

  • Engage in the continuous development and execution of the Group’s strategy
  • Support management in setting targets, KPIs and reporting regimes
  • Help management get an oversight of the operational and strategic performance of the business units

Your additional responsibilities will be to:

  • Support the coordination, management and preparation of agenda and material for Executive meetings; and related follow-up
  • Support the orchestration of the annual cycle of strategy, business planning and budgeting, including follow-up
  • Participate in the execution of Group mergers, acquisitions and integrations
  • Facilitate the development and maintenance of a best practice and knowledge sharing platform for the GSCD and colleagues in the business units

You and your competencies

You will develop both your professional and personal skills during your work in Ramboll, as the job as a Strategy and Business Transformation Consultant will introduce you to broad group of stakeholders. It is therefore important that you have good presence and a friendly personality, and are able to work with colleagues from all levels of the organisation and with different areas of expertise than yourself.

As you will have a large surface of contact, it is important that you have a good eye for coordination, and that you have a structured approach to your work so you can stay composed in high-paced situations.

Your strong analytical skills – both quantitative and qualitative - enable you to quickly analyse and present complex issues in simple visual ways, and you are able to put these skills to full use in relevant areas such as strategy, business planning, business cases, etc.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • Are a University or Business School graduate within business, management, finance, strategy, business development or similar
  • Have 1-3 years of experience within the field from top multinational firms or management consultancies
  • Speak and write English fluently (knowledge of a Nordic language is a plus but not required)
  • Have proficiency Excel and PowerPoint

Join the GSCD team

GSCD is the nucleus of the corporate organization in the Ramboll Group. We play a key role in the strategic development and executive management of the Ramboll Group. The key responsibilities of CSCD are to:

  • Lead the development and orchestrate the implementation of the Group  Strategy
  • Pursue and lead mergers, acquisitions and divestments
  • Manage the portfolio of internal, transformational projects
  • Orchestrate the annual business planning cycle of the Group and business units in Ramboll
  • Develop and maintain the operational and organisational governance in Ramboll
  • Lead strategic, high-priority projects
  • Act as the Secretariat for the Group Executive Board and the Group Board of Directors
  • Support the CFO on corporate finance topics of strategic importance
  • Provide general support, analyses, strategic advisory, etc. to the Group Executive Board and particularly the CEO

GSCD is small unit with about 10 staff led by a Senior Group Director reporting to the CEO. In our work we have broad reach to and interactions with the Ramboll organization and its different business units.
