You will be responsible for development of, and quality control for our forecasting models, applying state-of-the-art time series analysis and predictive modelling to deliver new, robust insights to our customers across the business.

As a forecasting expert you will participate in various projects in strong collaboration with fellow dedicated team members, to influence business decisions, drive digital transformation at one of the largest companies in the world. Your responsibilities will be to:
Identify commercially valuable insights from mathematical or statistical treatment of data and operationalize them into business applications
Participate in analytics projects, extract value and create actionable recommendations
Partner with businesses and internal/external stakeholders, as necessary
Drive analytics innovation into digital products in asset optimization, operations optimization, customer analytics and similar domains
M.Sc. or PhD degree in mathematical and financial economics, statistics, mathematical modelling and computation, or a related field.
3+ years of experience working with mathematical methods like probabilistic forecasting, time series analysis, predictive modelling, machine learning, causal inference and modelling of stochastic dynamical systems
Strong understanding of applied modelling and advanced quantitative analytic methods, proven ability to solve business problems, superior analytical skills using sound data scientific methods, thorough understanding of how to interpret, translate and present modelling results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Excellent track record of delivery using languages like Python, R, Ruby, Java and technologies like Hadoop, Git / Stash, JIRA / Rally
Familiarity with Agile / Scrum practices preferred, but not required?
In addition to good collaborative skills, you must also have strong track record of being able to work independently, take up original and challenging methodological problems and successfully deliver to deadlines.
Fluent proficiency in both written and oral English
