As part of Maersk Oil you will embark on an exciting journey with focus on maximizing value from safe operations, deliver world-class projects whilst building our future business as part of the newly formed Maersk Energy division.
Your workplace will be central Copenhagen, to begin with at Esplanaden before we in October 2017 will move to a brand new office domicile in the attractive Nordhavn area.

Besides working side by side with your Maersk Oil colleagues you will also be joining the student network STUDENTS@MAERSK, which is a network for all students working in the Maersk Group. This is a great opportunity to expand your network and network with peers at social events and interesting lectures.

Working hours will be approximately 15-20 weekly.

Key Responsibilities

Maersk Oil Supply Chain is looking to hire 4 Student Assistants - 1 Student Assistant to join our Logistics team and 3 Student Assistants to join Procurement & Category Management.

Key responsibilities as Student Assistant and part of the Logistics team:
• Contribute and support during execution of the key projects to develop end-to-end supply chain management capabilities – e.g. data analysis, workshops and stakeholder meeting preparation, process mapping, project reports writing etc.
• Support project and change management activities related to Inventory Management, Dangerous Goods Management & Customs and Export Control
• Assisting with – and as the Candidate develop key skills – independently managing various project
• Engage in the Supply Chain community – e.g. prepare for Logistics operational and safety performance reporting, create Newsletter and community meeting preparations
• Create presentation material for Logistics management meetings and communication plans

Key responsibilities as Student and part of Procurement & Category Management:
• Contribute and support during execution of the key projects to develop end-to-end supply chain management capabilities – e.g. data analysis, workshops and stakeholder meeting preparation, process mapping, project reports writing etc.
• Mapping and analysing data on current spend patterns and identifying cost drivers and opportunities in and across categories
• Assisting strategic decision making through data analysis and feedback from stakeholders
• Assisting with – and as you develop – independently running various tenders
• Assisting with – and as you develop – independently managing various project management roles
• Preparation of various presentation material for management
• Assisting on a variety of projects

Your responsibilities will depend on which of the above mentioned teams you will be joining.

Who we are looking for

You are currently enrolled at a university and we expect your study to be within Supply Chain, Economics, International Business, Logistics, Finance, Business Administration or another related area.

We expect you to:
• Be goal-oriented and driven
• Be analytical, systematic and detailed oriented
• Thrive on assuming responsibility and achieving results independently and as part of a team
• Have project and change management skills
• Be experienced in Microsoft Office – in particular Excel and Power Point
• Be able to keep deadlines and work independently
• Have an international mind-set
• Have good communication skills

As you will become part of an international organisation and interact with people from different cultures, you must be proficient in both spoken and written English. Please make sure your CV and cover letter are written in English.

You must be available for both the initial interview taking place from the 3-7 April and for the second and final interviews taking place from 18-26 April.
