Danfoss is looking for a Software Sales Development Manager who can act as a driving force behind generating new PLUS+1® software sales leads and contacts. We are looking for an exceptional leader with a passion for sales innovation and can support the sales organization to build customer loyalty; who understands the nuance of what our clients, both existing and potential.

Do you have a proven track record of contributing to sustainable growth through boosting sales and shaping strong relationships with the customers? If you have extensive leadership experience in sales development, then you are the one we are looking for! You will be working within Software Solution Services. Become a PLUS+1® "champion" for EMEA and a "go to" sales resource for PLUS+1® SoftwareBuild and improve strong, long-lasting customer relationships to existing and new customers. You will focus on developing strong relationship with strategic partners as well. You will develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and to expand the company’s project base. We provide you an opportunity to influence the growth of Danfoss in the EMEA region. Your ultimate objective is to positively grow both the profitability and reputation of Danfoss in the region with a focused strategic vision on business growth.

You will be responsible for 

  • Developing and Executing Sales Target Account Strategies to grow PLUS+1® software sales
  • Supporting and providing input on data needed to provide optimal customer proposals
  • Providing input to the pricing team on acceptable price levels to ensure profitability
  • Recommending price optimization on existing business
  • Identifying sales opportunities and utilizing Customer Relationship Management Tools (Salesforce) to track, report, and progress those opportunities
  • Building relationships and work collaboratively with SDMs of other Business Areas, Distribution partners, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) in the EMEA region
  • Meeting and building relationships with Danfoss PLUS+1® software users
  • Initiating product promotion with Marketing Communications, emphasizing the message about the benefits of software and the overall PLUS+1® value proposition to be successful in every channel to the market

Your education and experience 

  • University degree in sales or marketing, Master’s Degree in Business Administration preferred
  • 5+ years' sales experience in similar industry with detailed knowledge of software, electric or electronic component systems and applications
  • Good knowledge of key IT tools (MS Office applications, Salesforce)
  • Ability to work in a global team environment - engaging with customers and Danfoss colleagues
  • Ability to travel throughout EMEA with some international travel a possibility
  • Energetic, willing to find compromises between multiple and sometimes conflicting interests
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and proactive

It is good to have

  • Familiarity of products produced by Danfoss Power Solutions
  • Understanding of the PLUS+1 software target markets and applications with a broad knowledge of the sales process
